ISQ (Instituto de Soldadura e Qualidade, Portugal) is a private non-profit making technological association with Public interest status with a turnover of 80M€ and more than 800 staff members. Founded in 1965 as the Portuguese Welding Institute. In the early eighties its activities were diversified from welding technology to several other technical and scientific areas, and the services provided now include technical inspection, non-destructive testing, structural integrity, quality assurance, maintenance management, risk-based inspection and environmental impact studies and training.

In October 2010 RHP-Technology GmbH was formed as a spin-off from the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology by the initiative of DI Dr. Erich Neubauer, DI Michael Kitzmantel, Ing. Gottfried Kladler and Dr. Christian Kitzmantel. Since then the company was transforming from a 4-person research group in hot pressing to a worldwide known company in innovative powder technologies and smart material developments.
